During a 22-year career at North Shore Country Club, Tim O’Neal was instrumental in the development and promotion of his assistants into leadership posts at other clubs. Head professional first at Country Club of Peoria, then two clubs in south Florida. Named Professional of the Year in both Illinois and South Florida Sections. Authored instruction book; In The Leather; A PGA Master Professional, O’Neal served fellow professionals on committees in Illinois and Florida. Led growth of Illinois PGA Foundation and headquarters purchase. Spearheaded the recovery of over $4 million in a dormant retirement savings fund, benefitting hundreds of fellow pros.
