A consummate player, Dave Ryan dominated Central Illinois golf from his teens onward, and after a brief professional career, made his mark in senior amateur play beginning in 2009. The Taylorville native was the CDGA’s Senior Player of the Year seven times in eight years from 2009 through 2016, and the overall Player of the Year in 2012. In four of those years he won the Illinois Senior Amateur. In 2016, he capped the year by winning the U.S. Senior Amateur, and made it to the semifinals in 2017. He’s a three-time Central Illinois Player of the Year, and a 15-time Radix Cup participant, with an 8-5-2 record.
