Literally the building force behind the finest golf courses in America, Wadsworth began constructing golf courses in 1958. Under his direction, Wadsworth Construction Company has built more than 350 courses throughout the country, many of them host to PGA Tour events. In Illinois alone, the Wadsworth Company has constructed or remodeled more than forty public and private courses. Selected Golf Course Builder of the Year in 1989 and 1990, Wadsworth was responsible for the construction of eight of the nation's top fifteen courses as selected by Golf Digest in 1990. Wadsworth's entire life has been influenced, supported and connected to golf - from youthful golf activities to building and contributing to facility development. Included among the notable courses Wadsworth has constructed in Illinois are Fox Bend, Cantigny, Seven Bridges, Stonebridge and George Dunne National.
