Hubby Habjan, golf professional at Onwentsia Club for more than three decades starting in 1956, is known among his peers as the consummate club professional. He trained many leading golf professionals and was named Illinois and National Golf Professional of the Year in 1965. He was Illinois PGA President in 1973 and PGA of America Vice President from 1974 to 1976. He has excelled at custom club making, fitting and repairs and is an acknowledged expert in playing and teaching the game. He was a longtime consultant to Tommy Armour Golf Company. His lifetime ambition: “To teach the game of golf, its rules and ethics, and make the finest clubs for my pupils.”
